Did the world do too little to assist India throughout its virus surge?



Author Vidya Krishnan argues the pandemic has proven the failures of India’s health-care system, more and more stratified because the financial liberalization of the Nineties. “The Indians who purchased their approach to a more healthy life didn’t, or selected to not, see the widening gulf,” Krishnan writes within the Atlantic. “Right now, they’re clutching their pearls as their family members fail to get ambulances, docs, medication, and oxygen.”
