Greater than 6,000 migrants arrive in Ceuta from Morocco as Spain ramps up army response



A chaotic scene started to unfold Monday morning as migrants began arriving on Ceuta’s seashores in giant numbers, with many swimming round breakwaters or paddling makeshift dinghies to the shore. Others waited till low tide to wade into the territory, or scrambled over safety fences, video footage exhibits. The unprecedented inflow of migrants included a minimum of 1,500 minors, Spanish officers mentioned.
