Oxford faculty to maintain statue of imperialist Cecil Rhodes



Maybe most dramatically, within the English metropolis of Bristol, the statue of Seventeenth-century slave dealer Edward Colston was forcibly eliminated by protesters and thrown it into the harbor. Colston was prominently concerned in England’s slaving firm, the Royal African Firm, which transported tens of hundreds of Africans throughout the Atlantic Ocean.
